This is one of the questions students ask me the MOST:

"Emma, how do I pronounce a word correctly the first time I read it?"

And I completely get it. Because you see a new word, you say it how you THINK it should be pronounced… and then you hear someone else say it and realise some of the letters are silent or the vowels are completely different.
