Yes, it’s only October – but the new Nathan Fielder documentary, You Can See Everything, has been declared the movie of the year by our critic Barry Hertz. The film examines “evil genius” Elizabeth Holmes, who made headlines as founder of Theranos, a health-tech company that was built on a heap of lies. Holmes was sentenced to 11 years in federal prison for fraud, but curiously invited filmmakers into her home right before her sentence began. What ensues is a hilarious, awkward, post-truth kind of film for our post-truth world. Writes Hertz: “It is not only the greatest movie of the year, but also the most essential.”
