SUPPORT EXCELLENCE CAMPAIGN
LMS PTA Fundraising efforts are vital to enhancing the overall experience for all students at LMS. And as we strive to continue bridging the gap between school resources and student needs, we continue to ask for your support.
HELP US REACH OUR GOAL BY NOVEMBER 1st
By donating the suggested amount of $50 per family, you will be helping us fund many new and exciting school beautification and outdoor updates.
This year's goal is set for $30k and with your help, we know we can meet (and exceed!) our target.
Your involvement and dedication has a direct (and positive!) impact on LMS students and teachers and we value your ongoing support. Let's work towards fostering academic excellence, promoting creativity and critical thinking, building a supportive and inclusive community, and preparing our children for future success, together!
*Donations made to LMS PTA are tax-deductible.
For a donation of $100 or more, you will receive our one and only "Proud Supporter ofExcellence at LMS" magnet. Please contact Weina Dorsky wfdorsky@gmail.com for the magnet.
REFLECTIONS PROGRAM AT LONGFELLOW MS:
THE NATIONAL PTA ART CONTEST:
Thanks to three parent volunteers, Longfellow MS has officially launched its local unit committee which will accept students' submissions to this year's Reflections Program and determine winners in the 6 categories: Dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts. Please visit here to get familiarized with the program and to find inspiring artworks from previous years.

Student/Parent Interest Form:
Please fill out a parent/student interest form (or the QR code below) and submit it today to let us know that you are interested in participating in it. The committee will create an emailing list based on the received information and share more details about the program with the people in the group.

Nov 18: Entries submitted to LMS PTA
Early Dec: LMS decision to be announced
Dec Dec 15: LMS first place submissions are due to Fairfax County Council PTA
The LMS Local Committee is calling for judges. Without judges, we cannot move forward. If you know someone who can serve with expertise or experiences or you're serious about art & artistic interpretation, please contact us at bhyuna@hotmail.com (Hannah Kim).
OCTOBER TEACHER TREATS
The October Teacher Treats sign-up is here, October Teacher Treats. Please sign up to give our teachers a caffeine-sugar rush heading into a long weekend! You can have your student drop off the donation in the main office on Monday, October 28th.
Thank you to everyone who donated last month! The teachers are so appreciative of the yummy snacks and coffee.
