While there is no perfect cure for your inner clock being distressed that the sun now sets earlier, there are few things that bring pure, uncomplicated happiness like a well-made side of guacamole. And good works! Our next PTA Dine-Out is at perennial favorite Chipotle (Rolling Road location). Join us on Wednesday, November 20th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. to support the PTA and nom on tasty burritos.
When ordering in-store, you will need to show the paper flyer or the digital copy on your phone. If ordering online for pick-up, use code 62PDGPQ. Don’t forget, or your order won’t count! 25% of our group’s total sales will be donated to our WSES PTA. We hope to see you all there.
Any way you slice it, WSES is the best! Please show your appreciation to our amazing teachers and staff by donating a pie they can take home for Thanksgiving.

Walk In My Shoes is a PTA sponsored event where grades 3-6 participate in empathy-building activities designed to teach elementary school-aged children how to be respectful and inclusive of all children, especially those with medical conditions, developmental challenges, or learning differences. The event will include seven stations: ADHD, Dyslexia, Food Allergies, Motor Processing, Visual Impairment, Hearing Impairment, and Communication Disorders. Walk in My Shoes will take place during the school day for children in Grades 3 - 6, but we need parent volunteers to make the event a success.
Please consider signing up for a timeslot here. We are in need of a few more volunteers to make this event a success!
Congratulations to the Mighty Mustangs for representing at the Pyramid Challenge this past Saturday!
For FREE event photos, please visit Steven Broderick photography.
A special thanks to the Chair of our Pyramid Challenge Committee, Franny Jessup, and all of the other parent and teen volunteers who helped make the event such a success.
As we are wrapping up a successful round of fall afterschool programs, we're already thinking ahead to classes in January! Please see below for a list of the winter programs.
A flyer will be sent home in the Thursday folders on December 5 with full descriptions of the classes. Registration will open on Tuesday, December 10 at 9am.
We hope you will consider having your child(ren) join for one or more activities!
If you haven't already joined for this school year, please do so now - we need your support to continue hosting our wonderful events, supporting our teachers and staff, and all of the wonderful ways we connect to our WSES community. Membership needs to be renewed each school year!
Mark your calendars for these upcoming events:
