Hey there. Delta said this week it’ll start serving Shake Shack burgers to its first class passengers on select flights out of Boston. That has us wondering whether they considered offering more regional fare in the air than the NYC-based burger chain—like seafood, baked beans, or, hey, even Wahlburgers.

Driving down the backroads of Salem County, Dean Sparks listed off land sales like a one-man Zillow page. The farmer and deputy mayor of Oldmans Township has been keeping close tabs on who sells their land and who doesn’t in this little pocket of South Jersey.

“This was bought for $30,000 an acre,” he said, pointing toward a seemingly anonymous plot of farmland. “I know the guys that owned it, and that was considered big money at the time, but now, I mean they’re just throwing around crazy numbers.”

Sparks was referring to the deep-pocketed warehouse developers that in the last several years have helped transform Salem County into a logistics hub, standing up 5.1 million square feet of warehouse space for retailers, such as Amazon, since 2020.

But not every landowner has jumped at the opportunity.

Viewers binge-watching The Boys or Reacher on Prime Video might find themselves invited to purchase something between episodes.

At its Unboxed conference in Austin last month, Amazon Ads rolled out interactive shoppable ads for Prime Video in North America. Consumers can add items from the ads to their Amazon carts, ask Amazon to notify and email them about products, or book appointments with businesses using their remote or by scanning a QR code.

The interactive ads are just the latest addition to a growing shoppable TV realm as streamers like Netflix, Paramount+, Peacock, and Roku aim to make it easier for consumers to make purchases directly from ads on their TV screens.
