Amazon unveils smarter screens with Echo Show lineup

Amazon has introduced the Echo Show 21, a wall-mounted smart display with Wi-Fi 6E for faster streaming, enhanced audio and smart home capabilities. An updated Echo Show 15 with similar upgrades has also launched.

Retailers are planning to invest in technology tools to address theft and loss, with 78% of them focusing on tech solutions for both frontline workers and operational oversight. Current usage of AI-based prescriptive analytics for loss prevention is at 38%, but 50% of retailers plan to adopt it within the next one to three years. Other planned investments include self-checkout cameras, computer vision and RFID technologies.
