Hello, adventurers!

I hope you've got your fuzzy socks and cozy slippers ready for this weekend because we're in for a cold one. Due to the forecast, the city of Denver has rescheduled trash collection services and shortened the MLK Day Marade on Monday. The Denver Botanic Gardens will also be closing this weekend due to subzero temperatures. It seems like the perfect time to kick back and enjoy a warm bowl of soup.

Heads up

Colorado is set to see a freezing weekend as snow and a bitterly cold blast of arctic air moves into the state on Friday, according to the National Weather Service. Downtown Denver and Denver International Airport should expect between 4 and 6 inches of snowfall on Friday and Saturday.

The Headwaters River Journey Museum features 31 interactive exhibits that take visitors on a journey down the Fraser River to the headwaters of the Upper Colorado River Basin. The experience includes nature sounds like elk bugles, birds chirping, and water gurgling. (Photo provided by Headwaters River Journey Museum)
