Dear Mother Jones Reader,
When Donald Trump is inaugurated to a second term in office on January 20, billionaire media owners will be there cheering him on from the VIP section. Mother Jones reporters will also be in attendance, but with a much different agenda. As they do every day, David Corn and the rest of our DC bureau team will be on the ground reporting on the plans the new administration is putting into place, and identifying who is organizing to push back.
I’d like to invite you to join a post-inauguration discussion with David Corn and other journalists on our team to hear firsthand what they’ve seen and heard as the new administration takes over and what we can expect next—from confirmation fights, deportation plans, and spending cuts, to fissures in the MAGA movement and emerging visions from the Democratic opposition. I’ll be moderating the virtual event on Wednesday, January 22 at 7 pm ET/4 pm PT.
In order to join, please RSVP here. It’ll send you a Zoom link by email.
Our conversation will last 60 minutes, and you’ll be welcome to share your questions with us. So please join us, and share this invite with friends or family who you think would be interested.
Independent, investigative reporting is going to have a crucial role to play in the weeks and months ahead. No one owns Mother Jones, and no one ever will. We’re accountable only to you, our readers, and everything we do is made possible through your support. I hope you can join us!
