American Express has agreed to pay $230 million to resolve actions leveled against it by the Department of Justice and the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York.
The government alleged the New York card company engaged in deceptive marketing and faulty recordkeeping with respect to small business clients, between the years 2014 and 2021.
