 So good to be back with our school family! ❤️ It's been a wonderful first (full) week back from winter break!

A Message from the Admin Team
Dear Roadrunner Families,
It was a joy to welcome our students back to school for a full week this week! We were so impressed with how quickly everyone settled back into the routines and embraced the excitement of learning.
Our fifth graders had a fantastic time exploring the wonders of flight at the Udvar-Hazy Center at the National Air and Space Museum on a field trip this week. They returned with a renewed sense of curiosity and a wealth of knowledge.
Little Run's next Three-Hour Early Release Monday is coming up on February 10th. On Febrary 10th, school will dismiss at 12:15PM. Families should be receieving communications through TalkingPoints over the next few days. Please be sure to complete the survey only if there is a change in your child's dismissal plan for that day.
As we continue this school year, we kindly remind you of the following:

Kiss and Ride: To ensure the safety and efficiency of our drop-off and pick-up procedures, we kindly request that you utilize our designated Kiss and Ride line.

Handicap Parking: Please remember that handicap parking spaces are reserved for vehicles displaying valid placards.
As a reminder, there is no school on Monday, January 20th. We look forward to seeing our students back in school on Tuesday, January 21st.

Little Run PTA - Martin Luther King (MLK) Day of Service
Join Little Run families on Monday, January 20th to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., with a family-friendly Community Service activity! We will pack on-the-go Kindness Kits for neighbors in need.
The LRES PTA will provide materials and instructions for families to pack kits at home as a family activity. Materials will be distributed this Monday, January 20th (rain, shine, or snow!) between 9am-2pm. Families can pick up materials at tables that will be located on the sidewalk across from the school, under the large tree next to Olley Ln.
This PTA sponsored event falls on Martin Luther King Day, a federal holiday, and therefore schools are closed and we will not be able to access the school building.
Keep Your Child Warm During Outdoor Activities
Winter weather is here! As a reminder, please make sure your child is dressed appropriately with a warm coat and other cold-weather clothing, so they can comfortably enjoy time outdoors. Schools monitor the weather for low temperatures, wind chill advisories and warnings, and weather advisories that may prevent children from being outside for activities like recess or physical education.

If you need assistance getting cold-weather clothing for your family, please contact our family liaison, Maria Ruiz, at miruiz@fcps.edu. You may also contact Fairfax County Coordinated Services Planning (CSP) at 703-222-0880. Their multilingual staff can assist with any challenges you are facing, including food, shelter, employment, financial assistance, and health care.
